The leader of the group opposing the Dakota Power Community Wind Project in Lincoln County South Dakota says they’d like the county commissioners to make a decision. Winnie Peterson of We Care says her group and backers of the project both want the commission to make a decision rather than continuing to table the action like they did this week.

She says while they’d like a resolution, they also want the Commissioners to take the time to get it right.

Peterson says the setback that’s been proposed is better than the current requirement but having a one to two mile setback would be preferable.

Peterson says We Care will keep supplying wind project research information to the Planning and Zoning Commission to help them work with the County Commissioners in making an informed decision.
