Wind Power Development May Slow Down

Wind power development is very active right now, but the intensity could drop in the next couple of years.
Steve Wegman with the South Dakota Renewable Energy Association made a presentation at this week’s Windpower 2015 national convention in Orlando Florida. He says this year’s session got an update on future prospects.

Wegman says while there are projects underway, future development could be slower.

Wegman says it is up to Congress to decide the future of wind power tax policy.

Wegman says they also heard that South Dakota is number two in the country with twenty seven percent of our power coming from wind generators.
