White Oak Global Advisors LLC of San Francisco, California have purchased the operating assets of Northern Beef Packers Limited Partnership in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  A new entity established by White Oak, New Angus LLC will run the facility. Brown County Commission Chairman Duane Sutton says  White Oak is free and clear of past liabilities and obligations and has now paid off all the $ 1.1 million in back taxes.

Sutton says he spoke with White Oak officials last week but they gave no timeline for the beef plant’s re opening.

Sutton says they’re pleased to see White Oak moving forward with the beef packing plant. He says they’re strong enough financially to make it work and says they will be a boon to the whole economy of Northeast South Dakota.
