Former Democratic Vice President Joe Bidden has unofficially been declared the next President of the United States but what does that mean for agriculture? Syngenta Sr. Lead of Federal Governmental Relations and Washington insider Mary Kay Thatcher Biden’s ag policy position may not be as important as his ability to work with the House and Senate.

Thatcher says while Biden didn’t share many details of his agricultural policy vision during the campaign, he did talk about the importance of renewable energy and a need to work on climate change.

Thatcher says as far as Biden’s Secretary of Agriculture, there is a long list of folks that would like that job.

Other names being discussed include former House Ag Committee Chair Collin Peterson.
