The South Dakota Railroad Board got an update at their meeting this month on the progress of re-construction of the MRC rail line from Chamberlain west.
Board Chairman Todd Yeaton says work will start up again next week…..

Yeaton says they expect to see some traffic by late summer….

The line is being rebuilt to Presho, and there was some discussion of building it further west, possibly to Kadoka.
Yeaton says those plans will have to wait….

The MRC line rebuild will cost about twenty nine million dollars, and will serve a number of grain loading and fertilizer facilities in that area.
