The City of Yankton is working through a multiyear, multi-million-dollar plan to rebuild water treatment facilities.
City Manager Amy Nelson says some of the upgrades are coming on line…..

The water from the well will be harder than the water currently coming from the Missouri River. Nelson says that will improve over the next few years…..

Nelson says they are about ready to bid out the major portion of the water plant construction…..

The water plant is estimated to cost about thirty million dollars, and could be done by early 2019.
