Summit League weekly honors include awards for athletes from South Dakota State and South Dakota.

South Dakota State defensive specialist Ellie Benson and South Dakota middle blocker Lindsey Brown garnered the league’s Defensive Player of the Week awards  in volleyball for their performances, Sept. 12-18.

Along with its current three-game win streak, South Dakota State women’s soccer has now claimed three consecutive Summit League Player of the Week honors. Nicole Hatcher earned a share of the award on the offensive side of the ball for her play last week, announced Monday by the conference office.
