The Yankton County Commission formed an ambulance task force earlier this year to look at the services provided and how that could become more efficient.

The commission had earlier approved using a third party billing service to improve on collections.
Commission Chair Cheri Loest had earlier said their goal was not to become break even but to at least close the gap between revenues and expenses.
