Rounds two through seven of the NFL draft over the weekend brought calls to several Big 10 football stars.
Nebraska saw running back Ameer Abdullah taken in the second round by Detroit and defensive end Randy Gregory go to Dallas. Receiver Kenny Bell went in round five to Tampa.
Iowa defensive lineman Carl Davis was picked by Baltimore in round three. The Hawkeyes’ Andrew Donnal,, an offensive lineman, went in round four to St. Louis.
Minnesota had four players selected over the weekend, headed by tight end Maxx Williams in round two to Baltimore. Also picked were linebacker Damien Wilson in round four to Dallas, defensive back Cedric Thompson in round five to Miami and running back David Cobb to Tennessee in the fifth round.
