It was supposed to be week two for the Nebraska and Iowa State football teams, but the weather man left them with season opening games this week.

Both the Huskers and Cyclones had their week one games cancelled by stormy weather.

Nebraska will host Colorado Saturday at 2:30 after not playing Akron last week. Iowa State goes to in-state rival Iowa for a 4 p.m. kickoff after having a date with South Dakota State cancelled.

South Dakota nearly scored an upset at Kansas State. Now the Coyotes have their home opener at 2 p.m. Saturday against Northern Colorado.

Minnesota seeks a second win as the Gophers host Fresno State Saturday night.
