An attempt to stop federal regulatory overreach is gaining momentum in Congress. Just last week the House voted to support Florida Representative Steve Southerland’s Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act of 2014 (HR 5078).
He says preventing the waters of the U.S. proposal from going forward is just one part of the bill.
The legislation would also require EPA to consult with the states before any future changes can be made to the Clean Water Act.
