South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says his office is in almost constant contact with the Corps of Engineers as reservoirs rise to contain snowmelt run off upstream of Gavins Point Dam.
Rounds says they have been pushing the Corps to be more aggressive in moving excess water downstream….
Rounds says it appears the Corps have been listening…
Rounds says they have been urging the Corps to move water out of the reservoirs earlier in the season……
Both Lake Oahe and Lake Francis Case have been rising due to the inflows of snow melt into the tributaries.
