The holidays are over, but the bills that follow may have some people considering a short-term loan to cover their expenses.  The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation’s Division of Banking is reminding consumers to be careful of the loans they may decide to utilize at any time of the year.  Director Bret Afdahl says people should fully understand what the terms of a loan is…

Afdahl reminds consumers to stick with lenders who are licensed with the Department.  In the case of a complaint or problem with a lender, the department has more control if the entity is licensed.  He says anyone with questions about borrowing or licensed lenders can contact the department.
