Portions of the Marne Creek trail damaged by the flooding in March of 2019 are still blocked off, waiting for repairs.

The Yankton City Commission, at their meeting Monday night approved a sixty-thousand-dollar addition to the contract with Banner Engineering for repair design work.

City Public Works Director Adam Haberman says the work has been going on for a while..

Haberman says new studies required by FEMA will slow down the project…

Haberman says they hope to get bids later this year…

Heavy rain on top of frozen ground in March of 2019 caused extensive flooding along the creek and washing out much of the trail in lower sections of the creek.
