Kennedy says the SDSU proposal would change how ag land is valued for tax purposes……
The test, in ten to fifteen counties, will look at the differences between highest and best use of land to most probable use.
Kennedy says they hope to have some information before the start of the 2020 session and may meet later this year…..
There have been complaints of big jumps in property taxes under the productivity model that has been in use for the last ten years.
