A federal judge is weighing arguments made by seven same-sex couples that Nebraska’s ban on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.
Attorney General Doug Peterson says the state has argued that the definition of marriage should be defined by the states, not the federal courts. . .
Peterson has argued in front of US District Judge Joseph Bataillon that any ruling should wait until the United States Supreme Court rules on the issue…to avoid chaos. . .
