As the November election nears the issue of voter fraud is again front and center. Recently lower courts overturned voter identification laws due to the fact that voter fraud is not a big problem and it could discourage some in minority communities because of the lack of access to proper forms of identification.  Some believe voter registration should be handled on a federal level but Nebraska Deputy Secretary of State for Elections Neal Erickson says that isn’t necessary.

Erickson says voter fraud isn’t a big problem in Nebraska and there has never been an organized effort but it is something they are constantly monitoring.

When it comes to voter fraud Erickson says that is something they are always looking for.
