Several Nebraska agricultural officials recently met with potential international customers at a virtual grain exchange. The event was hosted by the Nebraska Corn Board along with the U.S. Grains Council. Mark Jagels, International Trade Representative with the State Agriculture department says they talked not only about grains but also about beef and other Nebraska commodities during the exchange.

He says the Nebraska State Agriculture Department is looking at holding follow up virtual events with potential trade customers.

Jagels says the Nebraska State Agriculture Department is continuing to work on several possible trade opportunities for the state’s grain and livestock producers.

Jagels says there are several trade discussions going including those with the United Kingdom and the European Union as well as with South Africa.
