Vilsack to Visit National Pork Forum and Commodity Classic

U-S Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will be going to Florida this week to speak to farmers.  On Thursday, Vilsack will speak before the pork producers voting delegates attending the National Pork Forum being held in Orlando.  Then on Friday, Vilsack will address the attendees of the Commodity Classic, also at Orlando.  The National Pork Forum is a joint venture between the National Pork Board that oversees the pork checkoff program, and the National Pork Producers Council that establishing policies for pork producers.  The Commodity Classic is a national convention of growers representing the National Corn Growers Association, American Soybean Association, National Association of Wheat Growers, and the National Grain Sorghum Association.  It also features a large industry trade show with the Equipment Manufactures Association.
