U-S Department of Agriculture Secretary Tom Visack visited the Farm Progress Show this week to announce some USDA grants to be awarded to universities and agriculture organizations that are proposing to reduce the greenhouse effect.  One of those grants will go to South Dakota State University.

The Agriculture Secretary further explains the South Dakota State proposal.

Another grant announced by Secretary Vilsack will be directed to the Iowa Soybean Association.

Vilsack says additional grants will be announced by the U-S Department of Agriculture during mid-September.
