The Minnesota Vikings are close to making their quarterback picture clear with a free agent signing and a trade.
Kirk Cousins, the former Redskins signal caller, visited the Twin Cities Wednesday and is expected to sign an 84-million dollar contract Thursday.
A person with knowledge of the deal tells The Associated Press the Minnesota Vikings are negotiating a trade with the Denver Broncos to acquire quarterback Trevor Siemian. Siemian would give the Vikings a capable backup who started 24 games for the Broncos over the last two seasons.
The Vikings did lose one of their running backs as Jerick McKinnon signed a free agent deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
