MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — The first game for the Minnesota Vikings at U.S. Bank Stadium will be played on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 28, against the San Diego Chargers.

The NFL announced the 2016 preseason matchups Thursday, and the Vikings will play twice in a five-day span. After hosting the Chargers, they’ll face the Los Angeles Rams at night on Sept. 1 in their last of four exhibition games.

The first scheduled event at the stadium is actually a soccer match, between European clubs Chelsea FC and AC Milan on Aug. 3.

The Vikings will travel to play the Cincinnati Bengals, coach Mike Zimmer’s former employer, the weekend of Aug. 12-14. They’ll visit the Seattle Seahawks the weekend of Aug. 19-21.

The league will reveal the regular-season schedule later.
