The Minnesota Vikings have added a veteran punter as they prepare for their season opener next Sunday hosting Atlanta.

Britton Colquitt is now a Viking after being released by Cleveland. The 10-year veteran has kicked for both the Browns and the Broncos, kicking in two Super Bowls with Denver.

He set single season net punting average for both teams.

The Vikings announced they had released second year punter Matt Wile. They also cut kicker/punter Kaare Vedvik who they had acquired recently from Baltimore for a draft pick. Vedvik was picked up on waivers by the New York Jets.
