The Minnesota Vikings will start their 50th consecutive training camp in Mankato on July 26 with a Sunday morning practice.
The Vikings announced Tuesday their schedule of preseason practices at Minnesota State University. Players will be required to report to the campus about 85 miles southwest of the Twin Cities on July 25.
The slate of 27 open-to-the-public workouts on the field includes Saturday and Tuesday evening practices at Blakeslee Stadium on Aug. 1 and Aug. 4. There are 13 days of two-a-day sessions. The team will break camp and return to team headquarters in Eden Prairie on Aug. 14.
Only the Green Bay Packers have held training camp consecutively at the same site for longer. They’ll be at St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin, for the 58th straight year.
