The Vikings added depth to the offensive line Monday by adding former South Dakota State player Bryan Witzmann to the roster.

Witzmann started 13 games at left guard for Kansas City in 2017, and played in 11 games in 2016. He was released recently by the Chiefs.

Witzmann previously spent time with Houston, New Orleans and Dallas.

At South Dakota State he started every game in his four-year career. He set a school record with 49 consecutive starts and was twice-named an FCS All-American.

The roster move came after Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer announced at his Monday press conference that offensive lineman Aviante Collins will be out for the season after suffering an elbow injury last week at practice.
