A new video released the North American Meat Institute called “Food Safety Interventions in the Meat Industry”, shows consumers the safety steps taken at meat processing plants. NAMI Vice President Janet Riley says their new video meat is processed and handled in a safe manner.

She says its critical consumers get the correct story about how meat is safely handled and seeing it brings the message home.

Riley says the meat processing industry is heavily regulated which has led to a dramatic improvement in meat safety.
