Veterans were honored at the annual program at Yankton Middle School Tuesday. The program, presented by students and staff focused on the connections they have to family members who have served.
The main speaker was State Senator Bernie Hunhoff of Yankton who says the stories of veterans is one of the best ways to remember their service……
Hunhoff, long time publisher of “South Dakota Magazine” talked about one local soldier who took things he learned here into France during World War Two……….
Hunhoff says we all owe so much to the veterans among us…………
There was also a video tribute to soldiers that died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
