Business developers are looking to turn a now vacant building into a prime expansion location.

The Vermillion Tech Center was built for Eagle Creek Software, who had promised to bring several hundred jobs to the custom built building. That deal fell through, with Eagle Creek later locating to a smaller location in Vermillion. That transaction is still in court.

Nate Welch is the Executive Director of the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce and Development Company and says the tech center is getting them some new contacts…

 

Welch says they have a number of businesses interested in the center…

 

The building is built as a technology center with oversized air conditioning and ventilation and power supplies.

Welch says they could lease the building to one, or several businesses.
