A discussion about extensions to conditional use permits at Tuesday nights Yankton County Commission meeting led to a verbal confrontation and a call for a deputy sheriff when a request by John Gunderson to ask a question was rejected by Commission Chairman Dan Klimisch…

The meeting resumed after a deputy spoke to Gunderson and others in the lobby of the county government building.
After the meeting, Klimisch said the disagreement was over an agenda item that was not yet open for public discussion…

Klimisch says the county zoning ordinance needs constant review..
Much of the construction covered under the conditional use permits has not started due to the extremely wet conditions.
