North Dakota State finished atop both national polls after winning its fourth straight Football Championship Subdivision title over the weekend by defeating Illinois State.

The Bison received all 152 first-place votes in the Sports Network poll and all 25 first-place votes in the poll of FCS coaches. NDSU finished with a 15-1 record.

The Bison rallied to defeat Illinois State 29-27 Saturday in the FCS title game in Frisco, Texas. The Redbirds finished second in both polls.

South Dakota State wound up 12th and 13th in the two polls.

Six Missouri Valley Football Conference teams were rated in the final polls.
