USSEC And Chinese Officials Discuss Trade Concerns

U.S. soybean industry representatives and officials from China’s Agriculture Ministry met last week in Beijing. The group got together to talk about ways to keep trade sanctions from hitting U.S. soybeans and other agricultural products. United Soybean Export Council Board member and South Dakota farmer Kevin Scott says it’s in the best interest of China and the U.S. to work out these trade problems.

He says the Chinese requested the meeting.

Scott says so far there haven’t been any major trade disruptions despite the rhetoric exhibited by the President.

Besides the recent USSEC meeting in China, several U.S. ag and community group representatives have been called to a meeting organized by U.S. Chief AG Trade Negotiator Greg Doud.
