South Dakota’s Tommy Vining and Cody Seal were named to the 2016-17 first and second all-Summit League teams, respectively, which was announced Saturday evening at a banquet prior to the start of the Summit League Championships.
A native of Sioux Falls, S.D., Vining was one of five golfers named to the all-league first team. The sophomore shot a third-round score of 66, his season low, at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate. He is fifth in the league with a stroke average of 73.50.
A senior from Victoria, Minn., Seal was named to the all-league second team. He was second on South Dakota’s team and ninth in the Summit with a stroke average of 74.37.
