The first of the three part farmer trade aid package is being rolled out by the USDA right after Labor Day in early September. USDA Undersecretary for Farm and Foreign Ag Services Bill Northey says more details will be out soon.

He says the delay on getting out more details is because they’re working on the rule making part of the process.

Northey says they’re trying to make the program as simple as possible in order to help producers.

He encourages farmers and ranchers to go to Farmers.gov for more information on the tariff aid package.
