South Dakota NRCS officials are working on renewing contracts for producers enrolled in the Conservation Stewardship Program. State NRCS CSP Coordinator Jessica Michalski says it’s one of their most popular conservation programs in South Dakota.
Michalski says NRCS works with producers who have various enhancements they utilize on their land.
Michalski says they’re also taking comments on the new C-S-P rule from now until January 5 of 2015. She says it’s important producers make their views known because USDA is working to simplify and streamline the existing program.
