House Ag Subcommittee on Farm Policy Holds Farm Bill Hearing

With the 2023 farm bill just right around the corner talks are beginning to ramp up about this important piece of legislation. On Tuesday the House Ag Subcommittee on Farm Policy held a hearing with Undersecretary for Farm Production and Conservation, Robert Bonnie to discuss farm policies and to hear testimonies from producers from around the U.S. Undersecretary Bonnie opened the hearing by summarizing the current work and goals of government agencies to provide aid to producers.

Bonnie also discussed the benefits offered to producers that utilize ecofriendly agricultural practices as the new farm bill will likely have a high focus on conservation.

He also discussed the growth of crop insurance to meet all producers needs but also the need to refine and adjust moving forward. To watch the full hearing you can find it by clicking here.
