USDA Joining Fight Against Rural Opioid Addiction

The US Department of Agriculture has joined the battle against opioid addiction, which has been rapidly spreading to rural America.
Rural Development State Director Karl Elmshaeuser led a panel in Nebraska to discuss the problem here…and is encouraged by the response. . .

Elmshaeuser says several steps could be taken. . .

Elmshauser says the USDA has money to help in the fight against opioid abuse and will work with the medical community and law enforcement in Nebraska to best target where the money would be most effectively spent.
