Wednesday, USDA announced they’re partnering with 21 states through the Biofuel Infrastructure Partnership to nearly double the amount of flex fuel and E15 fueling pumps. American Coalition for Ethanol Senior Vice President Ron Lamberty says through matching grants with state and private entities, BIP is investing a total of $210 million in renewable fuels infrastructure.

Lamberty says the goal of the program is to expand the availability of E15 and flex fuels for consumers.

He says this partnership will give a market advantage to those selling E15 and flex fuel blends like E85.

Within the region Minnesota received the most funding at $8 million, Iowa received $5 million, followed by Nebraska with $2.3 million. South Dakota received $1.5 million, with North Dakota at $1.2 million.
