Three Coyotes scored in double figures as South Dakota topped Incarnate Word 81-51 in womens’ basketball inside the McDermott Center on Monday night.
South Dakota (5-4) wraps up its nonconference road slate with a win and returns to the friendly confines of the Sanford Coyote Sports Center for a four-game home stretch ahead of the holiday break and start to Summit League play. With reverse fortunes, Incarnate Word (1-7) faces three road games ahead of Southland Conference action.
Junior guard Allison Arens became the first Coyote to surpass 20 points this season, scoring 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting. It was Arens’ 15th career 20-point game. She also dished out a season high six assists, helping USD reach a season high 20 assists as a team.
