Five Coyotes scored in double figures for the first time this season as South Dakota defeated San Jose State 84-69 on Sunday afternoon inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
South Dakota (8-2) remains undefeated at home this season at 4-0. San Jose State (2-8) continues its 6-game losing skid.
Sophomore guard Allison Arens led the Coyotes with 26 points in her sixth 20-point game of the season. She finished 7-of-10 from the field and scored 11-of-12 from the stripe. Sophomore guard Jaycee Bradley added 17 points with five made 3-pointers.
Freshman guard Ciara Duffy was two boards shy of a double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds. She also dished out six assists. Senior forward Bridget Arens posted a season high 12 points. Freshman guard Madison McKeever was the fifth Coyote to reach double figures with 10 points.
