IUPUI ended a losing streak to the University of South Dakota women with an 80-59 decision in Indiana Thursday. The win avenged three losses to the Coyotes last season including one in the semifinals of the Summit League Tournament.

De Airra Goss, who scored 27 points, reached 20 points for the fourth time this season. She had 17 at halftime when the Jags held a 41-31 lead and finished 11 of 18 from the field. Teammate Akilah Sims made 7 of 10 shots and added 15 points. Nicole Rogers made four three-pointers for the second game in a row and had 12.

South Dakota got a game-high 18 points from Polly Harrington, who was only Coyote to reach double figures. Lisa Loeffler and Margaret McCloud scored nine points each. Leading scorer Nicole Seekamp took three shots and was held scoreless for the first time in her collegiate career. Seekamp played 22 minutes in her second game back from an ankle injury that forced her to miss two games.

IUPUI (12-6, 2-1 Summit) had 11 steals and forced 20 turnovers that led to 24 points. South Dakota (9-8, 0-2) took 10 fewer shots than IUPUI, made 43 percent from the floor and was 4 of 14 from behind the arc.

The Jaguars scored 10 unanswered points near the start of the second half to prevent any comeback attempt. Mikale Rogers scored all six of her points during that stretch. IUPUI maintained a double-digit lead rest of the way.

The Coyotes return to the court at 1 p.m. Saturday against Fort Wayne in Indiana.
