South Dakota women’s basketball head coach Amy Williams has added Amanda Hart to her staff as the director of basketball operations for the 2015-16 season.

“We are so pleased to add Amanda to our Coyote women’s basketball family,” said Williams. “Her experiences as a player and assistant coach in a quality program like Dakota Wesleyan will make her an extremely valuable addition to our program. We are excited to utilize her impressive organizational and interpersonal skills to help our program continue to raise the bar.”

Hart joins the Coyote staff after serving as assistant women’s basketball coach and assistant sports information director at Dakota Wesleyan.

Hart assisted with player development, supervised academics, served as recruiting coordinator, and created travel itineraries. Her sports information responsibilities included writing press releases, generating online content, game day statistics and operations, and media guides.

“I am excited for the opportunity to be a part of South Dakota women’s basketball,” said Hart. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Williams, her staff, and the program they have built here. I cannot wait to be a part of the growing tradition.”

A Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American at Dakota Wesleyan, Hart was a four-time all-Great Plains Athletic Conference selection and earned the NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete award twice. Hart holds the Tigers’ career record for 3-pointers made (391) and 3-pointers made in a season (112 in 2011-12). She also sits seventh on Dakota Wesleyan’s all-time scoring list with 1,406 points.

Hart graduated from Dakota Wesleyan in 2014 with a bachelor’s in English and sport management. She will complete her master’s degree in educational policy and administration this December.
