USD Vaulter Tops Summit

. – South Dakota pole vaulter Bethany Firsick was named the Summit League Women’s  Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. It’s the first time she has earned the honor this season and the fourth time she has received the honor in her career.

Firsick won the pole vault at the Dakota Realty Alumni Meet with a height of 14 feet, 1¾ inches, which ranks sixth-best in the nation.  That height currently ranks second in the league.

The Coyotes will compete at the Iowa State Classic this weekend.
