South Dakota senior Emily Grove placed seventh in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by Samford University.

 

Grove cleared 14 feet, 1 ¼ inches to earn the fourth All-America honor of her career. Her best finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships was runner-up in 2014. The All-America distinction is the 14th by a Coyote at the Division I level.

 

Arkansas freshman Alexis Weeks tied the meet record of 15-1 to knock out remaining competitors. Weeks went on to win at 15-2 ¼.

 

South Dakota begins the outdoor track and field season next weekend with a pair of meets in Tulsa, Okla., and in Tempe, Ariz.
