South Dakota football will take on the Wisconsin Badgers on Sept. 21, 2024, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, USD head coach Bob Nielson announced Wednesday.

The contest will be the third all-time between the two programs and the Coyotes 52nd overall with a current member of the Big Ten.

The Coyotes and Badgers last clashed on Sept. 24, 2011, and previously met Sept. 20, 1975. The 2011 contest boasts the highest attendance a Coyote football team has played in front of when 78,880 fans packed into historic Camp Randall Stadium.

Wisconsin is coming off a school-record 13 wins in 2017 and finished No. 7 in the AP Top 25. The Badgers have won four-straight bowl games after last season’s Orange Bowl victory.

South Dakota has faced at least one FBS foe every season since 2010 with victories against Minnesota (2010) and Bowling Green (2017). Future opponents include Kansas State (2018), Oklahoma (2019), Iowa State (2020), Kansas (2021) and Missouri (2022).
