South Dakota swept all four Summit League Swimmer and Diver of the Week awards for the period ended Nov. 9.
Sophomores Jacob Knowles and Sam Schutt took home the Swimmer of the Week honors, while junior Dustin Gens and sophomore Greysen Hertting were named Divers of the Week.
Knowles acquires his second career Swimmer of the Week award and first of the season by recording a trio of top-four finishes and an event win at the Border Battle. The Lockport, Ill., native was victorious in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.19 and finished runner-up in the 100 breast in 1:00.47. He also placed fourth in the 50 free with a time of 22.18 seconds.
Schutt earns her fifth career and second-straight Swimmer of the Week honors after winning three events at the Border Battle. The Columbus, Ohio, native clocked a new league-best and winning time of 5:01.55 for the 500 freestyle, while also winning the 200 freestyle in 1:54.38 and the 200 backstroke in 2:09.18.
Gens obtains his third career Diver of the Week honor and first of this season after recording two wins at the Border Battle. The Winsted, Minn., native won the three-meter dive with 303.90 points and collected 275.20 points in the one-meter. Both dives rank fourth in the league this season.
Hertting picks up her 15th career and second-straight Diver of the Week award after sweeping the boards at the Border Battle. The Appleton, Wis., native won the one-meter dive with a league-best and NCAA Zone qualifying score of 281.20. She also placed first in the three-meter with 280.10 points.
South Dakota duals St. Cloud State in St. Cloud, Minn., on Friday at 5 p.m.
