Three students from the University of South Dakota have been chosen as Fulbright Scholars.  This program is administered a committee appointed by the President, and selects students to represent the United States in international study, research, and teaching.  Lucia Carlson just finished her Masters of Arts degree in Political Science with an emphasis on international relations…

 

Carlson will be an English teaching assistant in a high school in Hamburg, Germany.  She says she wanted to work within an area of the country with immigrant populations…

 

Carlson will live in Germany for a full academic year.  Her career goals include becoming a Foreign Service officer and working at different international embassies.
