The North Dakota State women’s track and field team extended their league record by winning their eight consecutive Summit League Track and Field Championship Friday  while the NDSU men captured their sixth straight league championship.

The NDSU women scored a Summit League Championship meet record of 282 points en route to their record-setting victory. South Dakota came in second with 209 points, South Dakota State third with 153 and Oral Roberts fourth with 70. Omaha finished fifth with their 43 points, Western Illinois sixth with 40, Fort Wayne with 16 in seventh and IUPUI finishes in eighth with four points.

The Bison men collected 266.5 points on their way to victory with South Dakota finishing in second with 199. The Jackrabbits of SDSU finished third with 156 and Western Illinois fourth, earning 73. Oral Roberts and IUPUI round out the men’s side, gathering 66.5 and 41 points, respectively.
