USD Law School Seeing Increasing Support

A proposal to move the law school from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion to Sioux Falls was studied by a task force last year. While that idea was put off, a number of recommendations for improvements at the school were made.
USD President Sheila Gestring says they have had a strong response to the task force suggestions……

Gestring says they are expanding the real world experiences for law students…..

Gestring says they will continue to focus on the need for lawyers in rural areas of the state…..

Falling enrollment numbers and a drop in students passing the bar exam helped spark the creation of the task force.
