USD Coach Competes

South Dakota track and field graduate assistant coach Kenna Wolter placed sixth in the women’s triple jump with a mark of 43 feet, 7¼ inches at the USATF Outdoor Championships on Thursday. There were 15 competitors in the event.

 

Wolter’s final mark was a personal record and was set on her third attempt. She was the only competitor from the first flight to advance to the final flight.

 

Amanda Smock of Asics/New York Athletic Club won the event with a mark of 45-2¼.

 

USD will have two more athletes compete at the championships this weekend. Cody Snyder will compete in the men’s discus on Friday at 5:15 p.m. CT and Megan Glisar will compete in the women’s high jump on Sunday at 2:05 p.m. CT.
