The University of Nebraska Medical Center is looking for rural women with new breast cancer diagnosis to participate in an internet based support program. The program was developed by Dr. Robin Lally, a professor at UNMC’s College of Nursing and the study is called CaringGuidance; After Breast Cancer Diagnosis.
UNMC is looking for 20 women who live in rural areas to participate in the program. It is a three month study and participants will be asked to provide feedback. Lally says it is an internet based support program that includes mental exercises, videos from survivors and advice on how to get the most from appointments and a glossary of cancer related terms.
Those interested can contact Lally at at robin.lally@unmc.edu.
